About Gen Korean BBQ House

Located at 390 N McKinley St 114 & 115, Corona, CA 92879, Gen Korean BBQ House operates as a korean bbq serving Corona in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Corona, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–10:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (951) 737-7739. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, genkoreanbbq.com.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 1,510 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Corona is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Corona follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I love Gen BBQ but this is not great the side cucumber was not good, we order rice on the side it was over water ( you know when you cook rice) , the japchae was tasteless ( sticky and bland) the bobba strawberry was ok but tons of ice inside so less liquid. The server was bad she take so long to serve us . She gave us the meat but stove on grill on on take 10mins. Took 20mins before we can get our drinks. Lol its ok maybe hard day. Its a plus great music . Overall 3/10 stars for me. I try again with different locations Gen BBQ.

I was pretty disappointed with my experience at Gen Korean BBQ House. I eat KBBQ about 3–4 times a month, so I have a solid idea of what good service should look like—and this wasn’t it. The service here was noticeably slow compared to other KBBQ spots I’ve been to. We spent a lot of time waiting for help, whether it was for refills, grill changes, or just getting someone’s attention. The staff seemed young and, unfortunately, not very attentive. Multiple times, employees walked right past our table and avoided eye contact, which made it frustrating to try and get any assistance. It honestly felt like we were being ignored. Overall, the lack of attentiveness and slow service really took away from the experience. I wouldn’t come here again.

Predatory practices. Had a large group and before we were even asked what to drink or what the others wanted to order, the head of our group was asked if they wanted the "Premium Package" and the head of the group said yes assuming it would just be for them alone. Music was too loud it was hard to communicate with friends and servers standing right next to you. Turns out that "Premium Package" order was then applied to the entire table. Went from $30 per person to $50 per person and the best that could be done was apply around a 30% discount to the entire order. People were confused when food was coming out when none of us were asked what we wanted to order. Food was coming out long before any rice, sides, sauces, or even water was put out. Being very fair, the food was good all around. We made use of the "Premium Package" and really enjoyed the long bone short rib, wagyu, and carna asada a lot. They had a little dessert-like thing called a Mango Muncher which was really good. Service started very slow but picked up after some time. Honestly I'd give the place a 4-star on the food alone (-1 Star, atmosphere was loud and uninviting) but have to give 2-Stars for service. That "Pre
